SPOKANE, Wash. – A series of property crimes targeting the Spokane LGBTQ+ community is under investigation, and Spokane Police Department has shared a series of photos which captured three potential suspects.

While the photos are not high quality, SPD hopes community members may recognize some of the distinctive clothing, items, or other features and can help detectives identify them.

If you believe you may know any of the suspects, or you have any additional information which may help with the investigation, you’re asked to email Sgt. Eckersley at beckersley@spokanepolice.org.

SPD reminds the residents that Washington state defines a hate crime as maliciously and intentional damage to another’s property because of the perpetrator’s perception of the victims race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, or mental, physical, or sensory disability.

Hate crimes are a class C felony offense in Washington and carry a maximum sentence of five years of imprisonment and/or a $100,000 fine.
