SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Mayor’s Office has confirmed that Nadine Woodward’s mother has just died today.
Just yesterday, Mayor Woodward announced that she was taking a leave of absence to care for her mother. The mayor’s office stated that this diagnosis was very sudden for her whole family.
Woodward will plan to spend the weekend with her family and attend to her mother’s affairs while she is out on leave.
She plans to return to her office by sometime next week.
In this release Woodward stated, “she and her family greatly appreciate the thoughts, prayers, and support from the community.”
