Spokane International Airport urges passengers to prepare for busy weekend

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane International Airport says passengers should prepare for a busy airport this weekend.

According to a social media post from the Spokane International Airport (GEG), over 700 volleyball teams will fly into Spokane to compete in the USA Volleyball’s Pacific Northwest Qualifier Tournament.

These plays are an addition to teams and fans that flew in for the NCAA Tournament earlier this week.

GEG said that passengers should arrive two hours before boarding time to avoid the stress of making it onto their flight. Preparing for TSA protocol can make your trip through the TSA go smoother and quicker.

1. Ensure carry-on liquids comply with TSA’s 3-1-1 rule.

2. Remove belts, shoes, coats and empty pockets before security screening.

3. Place laptops and large electronics in their own security bin
