Spokane International Airport celebrates National Pet Day

SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane International Airport celebrated National Pet Day by highlighting TSA pet regulations on Thursday.

While it does not appear to harm animals, the TSA does not allow pets to go through the x-ray scanner on their way to their gate. They are required to be leashed or in a carrier.

Only small pets can be brought through the airport according to the TSA, though some airlines can work with consumers to allow larger animals depending upon whether circumstances necessitate larger pets taking to the skies.
