SPOKANE, Wash. – The City of Spokane will lower flags to half-staff on Tuesday to honor a Washington State Patrol trooper who was killed in the line of duty on March 2.

Mayor Lisa Brown issued the order bringing all municipal building flags to half-staff in remembrance of Trooper Christopher Gadd.

“Spokane sends its deepest condolences to Trooper Gadd’s family, friends, and colleagues at the Washington State Patrol,” Brown said.

A memorial service for Gadd is also taking place on Tuesday in Everett.
