Spokane detectives seek help to identify chainsaw theft suspect

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Spokane County Investigative Unit (SCIU) Detectives are looking for a person who stole an estimated $1,600 chainsaw from a store.

On Feb. 19, at 3:45 p.m., an employee of a store in the 12900 black of North Highway 395 reported that a male entered the store, took a chainsaw and left the store without paying.

The chainsaw is a Stihl MS661 and is worth approximately $1,600.

The male left in the red Chevrolet Avalanche truck (pictured), which did not appear to have a rear license plate at the time of the theft.

The theft suspect appears to have been accompanied by another unknown male(pictured) and an unknown female when he entered the store, although they separated after entering. At this early stage of the investigation, it is unknown if they were aware of the theft or took part in it.
