Snoqualmie Pass reopened after multiple crashes

CLE ELUM, Wash. – UPDATE 7:50 p.m.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, I-90 Snoqualmie Pass is now fully reopened after multiple crashes.

WSDOT says traction tires are required and oversize vehicles are prohibited.

UPDATE 5:40 p.m.

Eastbound I-90 is now open with chains required according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

WSDOT says westbound I-90 is still closed at Cle Elum with no estimated time for reopening.

UPDATE 4:54 p.m.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, there is no estimated reopening time.

A NonStop Local reporter on scene says traffic is being rerouted into Cle Elum due to the closure.

I-90 going through Snoqualmie Pass is closed in both directions due to multiple collisions according to the Washington State Department of Transportation’s Travel Center Map.

WSDOT says eastbound traffic is stopped at exit 34 near North Bend and westbound traffic is stopped at milepost 84 near Cle Elum.
