Snoqualmie Pass fully open after heavy snow led to multiple spinouts

SNOQUALMIE, Wash. – Snoqualmie Pass is back open in both directions, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The road was blocked between Milepost 47, west of the summit and Milepost 71, near Easton, after heavy snow led to multiple crashes.

Chains are required on all vehicles except if you have all-wheel drive, and oversized vehicles are prohibited. You should expect added travel time and delays due to weather conditions. For information and updates on Snoqualmie Pass, visit the WSDOT website.

Westbound I-90 at milepost 71 is back open after heavy snow led to multiple crashes on Snoqualmie Pass. Eastbound lanes remain closed.

Snoqualmie Pass is fully blocked in both directions as heavy snow led to multiple spinouts Thursday evening, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

Eastbound lanes are blocked near milepost 47, just west of the summit. Westbound lanes are closed near milepost 71 by Easton.

Right now, there is no estimated time for reopening. You should avoid the area.

According to WSDOT, it is snowing hard, with compact snow and ice on the roadway. For updates on pass conditions, visit the WSDOT website.
