SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Police are investigating a shooting involving two victims on East Wellesley Avenue early Sunday morning.
East Wellesley Avenue was blocked off from Pittsburg to Crestline during investigation.
According to SPD, two male victims were shot. One of those victims has died. They did not clarify the injury status of the victim that is alive. There’s also no word on a suspect.
One neighbor says he and his wife woke up to the sound of gunshots. He also adds that this incident comes after a recent experience with stolen packages from his home.
One nearby business owner says the road closure has resulted in a slow day for them.
SPD has not released the name of the victims. They are holding off until next of kin is notified.
