Selkirk Fire Rescue put out ceiling fire, save residents

SAGLE, Idaho, – Selkirk Fire Rescue and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) stopped a ceiling fire on Bottle Bay Road near Sagle and Sandpoint.

On Feb. 28, at 1:30 p.m., Selkirk firefighters and other emergency response teams responded to a fire at a residential home on Bottle Bay Road.

The fire crew said that the response was challenging due to a long driveway and walkway to the lakeside home was nearly 400 feet long.

The crew were able to put out the fire and while the home was occupied at the time, none of the residents were injured.

Other emergency response teams from Sagle, Careywood, Sandpoint and Northside Fire District also responded to the scene as well.
