SPOKANE, Wash. — The Seattle Mariners announced Wednesday that there will be multiple Mariners Training Centers (MTC) opening up across the Pacific Northwest, including one in Spokane!

Three new locations will be opening in Port Orchard, Meridian and Spokane! Before these three areas, there were MTC locations in Seattle, Tacoma, Puyallup, Redmond and Woodinville.

These centers are dedicated to growing baseball and softball through professional instruction provided at camps, clinics and lessons. Anyone is able to join, from kids who are holding a bat for the first time to those who are eyeing college scholarships; there is something for everyone!

At MTC, they have coaches dedicated to training athletes for baseball, softball, quickball, football and even tournaments.

For this program to be possible, EL1 Sports partnered with Major League Baseball to help grow engagement, specifically with the Seattle Mariners, ““The Mariners are a model franchise—not just because of their player development, front office, gorgeous ballpark, and success on the field, but because of how deeply ingrained they are in the community,” says Jameel Cante, o-founder of EL1 Sports.

The training centers have a state-of-the-art facility that is equipped with turf, netting, performance enhancement equipment, configurable training stations, and next-generation technology like HitTrax, Rapsodo, and Diamond Kinetics, as well as seating and viewing areas for families.
