Robbery leads to SWAT response in north central Spokane, investigation still underway

SPOKANE, Wash. – A robbery investigation led to a SWAT incident near North Central High School early on Monday morning.

According to Spokane Police Department, officers responded to a robbery call at around 11 p.m. on Nov. 5, and officers began investigating.

At around 3 a.m. on Monday, SWAT, police, and first responders staged in the parking lot of North Central High School. A search warrant was executed at an apartment located on the 600 block of west Maxwell Ave, and a suspect was taken into custody.

Investigation into the robbery is on-going, and SPD has no further details about the initial call, was was seized in the search, or if there are other suspects at this time.

Investigators and SWAT finished operations at the apartment shortly after, and police cleared the scene. School operations at North Centeral were not impacted by the incident.
