Power outages planned for Avista customers in Inchelium, Wellpinit areas

SPOKANE, Wash. – Approximately 220 Avista electric customers in Wellpinit will experience a planned power outage on Thursday, Sept. 28. The planned outage will start at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and end at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 29. Impacted customers will be notified.

Traffic control will be in place as intermittent lane and road closures are expected during the outage. Wellpinit Agency Loop will be closed. Also, one lane of Ford-Wellpinit Road from the west side of Wellpinit Agency Loop east to the intersection of Little Falls Road.

During this time, Avista contract crews will be performing equipment upgrades in the area. Avista is continually updating equipment and infrastructure to increase the safety and reliability of its system.

On Saturday, Sept. 30, approximately 1,027 Avista electric customers in Inchelium and the surrounding area will experience a planned power outage. The planned outage will start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. Impacted customers will be notified. No road closures are expected during this outage.

Impacted customers are located west of Lake of Roosevelt, including the Twin Lakes area north to Barnaby Creek Road and south to Silver Creek Road.

During this time, Avista crews will be performing equipment maintenance in the area. Avista is continually updating equipment and infrastructure to increase the safety and reliability of its system.
