Possible sightings of double homicide suspect in Ponderday

PONDERDAY, Idaho – Over the past week, the Ponderay Police Department has received several reports of possible sightings of double murder suspect, 27-year-old Dylan J. Harrington.

Police say that Harrington has reportedly been spotted within the City of Ponderay. Harrington is wanted as a suspect in the 2022 double homicide out of Okanogan County, WA.

U.S. Marshals are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of Harrington, the man they believe killed Dave Covey, 80, and Gerlyn Covey, 66. The couple was found dead on their property in Chesaw, a small town with a population of less than 2,000 people not far from the Canadian border.

Harrington is described as about 5 feet 9 inches, weighs 145 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

If you see Harrington, you are asked to call 911 immediately and not to approach or confront him, as he is to be considered Armed and Dangerous.
