SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane police are searching for a man who jumped into the Spokane River after being pursued by police.
According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), police responded to a domestic violence call. They did not find the suspect at the house and started to search the area. SPD found the suspect near the river around the Maple Street Bridge.
SPD tried to cooperate with the man, but he jumped into the river and was carried away by the current. SPD called the Spokane Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team but lost the suspect.
