YAKIMA, Wash. – Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho will host an anti-racism event on Thursday in Yakima.
The event, which will take place at North Town Coffeehouse from 5:30 to 7 pm, will encourage dialogue on combating racism in eastern Washington and northern Idaho.
While the programming was scheduled before a potential hate crime took place in Coeur d’Alene last week, the timing coincides with a major moment of community reflection on racism throughout the region.
“Come join us as we talk about what we can do to combat Anti-Black racism and celebrate Afro-Latinidad in a safe environment,” the organization said.
