Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries after hit-and-run, Spokane police search for suspect

SPOKANE, Wash. – A pedestrian is suffering life-threatening injuries after being hit and dragged by a car in October. Spokane police are still searching for the suspect involved.

On Oct. 21, around 12:30 a.m., officers with the Spokane Police Department (SPD) responded to a hit-and-run near the 700 block of West Sprague Avenue. A pedestrian was sitting in the road near the intersection of West Sprague Ave and Wall Street when he was hit, pinned under the vehicle and dragged for a significant distance, SPD said in a press release.

SPD said the pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and the car fled westbound.

The involved driver is described as a younger white female, possibly with glasses. The vehicle is described as a silver, newer model Honda Civic sedan with no front plate and may have damage to the lower area of the front bumper.

Anyone with information on the suspect or car involved is asked to call 911 and reference incident number 2023-20209980.
