Over 4,000 without power again in Deer Park

DEER PARK, Wash. — Avista Utilities addressed two power outages in Deer Park on Tuesday, leaving thousands without electricity, occurring just a week after a similar incident.

The outage affecting 4,245 customers and was reported around 9:30 a.m.

The estimated time of restoration is 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday and the cause is still under investigation.

A similar incident happened last Wednesday, April 10, reportedly from an animal.

The outage map also provides a very similar location and number of customers affected for both incidents.

Avista said in the project comment “The outage has been reported. We are identifying and scheduling resources to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.”
