IDAHO – A new bill is being introduced that will allow teachers and other employees to carry a gun at Idaho public schools.

According to the Idaho Education Network the bill will allow Teachers, Teacher Aides, Coaches, Business Managers, Secretaries, Janitors and Bus Drivers to carry guns on school grounds.

In order to carry a gun, staff needs a concealed permit and to complete at least eight hours of firearm training.

Currently, having a gun on a public school campus is a misdemeanor unless you’re law enforcement or a School Peace Officer.
