DEER PARK, Wash. – A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Deer Park Tuesday evening.

According to Spokane County Fire District 4 (SCFD4), first responders responded to a vehicle versus motorcycle crash at Crawford and Mission in Deer Park intersection.

One person is confirmed dead, and three other people were involved in the incident. The other three people are expected to be okay with minor injuries, if any.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said speed does appear to be a factor based on initial information gained at the scene and witness statements.

Upon initial investigation, SCSO believes the motorcycle was driving westbound on Crawford when a car turned onto the roadway, causing the motorcycle to hit them.

SCFD4 said there will be significant delays in opening the roadway, and investigators will be on the scene for several hours. You should avoid the area.

The medical examiner will release the name of the victim at a later time. This incident remains under investigation.
