SPOKANE, Wash. – Dané Hulings, the mother of 1st degree murder suspect Caleb Hulings, has been charged with 2nd degree murder related to the same case.
C. Hulings is accused of killing a man with a knife in April 2023. The death was originally classified as a suicide, but was later reclassified as a homicide by law enforcement.
D. Hulings allegedly fled Spokane following the incident and sent social media messages requesting help to another individual, and reportedly implied that the victim had previously molested her son.
“I need help out now…I saw my son murder. I was there…He was a pedo and my son took me there and I witnessed this,” D. Hulings said according to court documents.
D. Hulings was arrested in California on Feb. 12 and was transported back to Spokane in early March. On March 5 she was charged with 2nd degree murder. She is currently in Spokane County Jail.
