Mother of 4-year-old found dead at Kennewick motel charged, nationwide warrant issued for father

BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-The parents of a 4-year-old child whose body was found at the Econo Lodge in Kennewick on Wednesday, Dec. 27, have officially been charged in the child’s death.

Judy Bribiescas was arraigned on Wednesday, Jan. 3 on a charge of first degree manslaughter, according to court documents.

The child’s father, Joseph Walker has also been charged with manslaughter, as well as violation of a protection order, but has not been arrested.

According to Benton County court documents a nationwide arrest warrant was issued for Walker on Dec. 29., with bail set at $500,000.

Kennewick Police responded to the Econo Lodge on N. Ely St. on Dec. 27. for reports of a child that was not breathing.

First aid was given to the child and they were transported to the hospital, where they later died, according to the KPD.

According to court documents, two pills and multiple pill fragments resembling “skittles fentanyl” were found in the child’s body and were collected as evidence.
