COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho. – The Idaho State Police (ISP) are taking action to prevent more car accidents this winter by closing major roads.
The ISP announced earlier this morning that they will be closing the State Highway 97 due to freezing rain and poor road conditions.
They are currently investigating several crashes and slide offs in the area, and it is unknown when they will be reopening this route.
If traveling, use extreme caution and find alternative routes.
