Millions of laundry detergent pods recalled

MONTANA – Millions of packages of laundry detergent pods are being recalled across the United States due to faulty packaging.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the pods pose a serious risk of accidental ingestion by young children and may cause facial injuries.

The recall includes Tide G Flings Ace and Aerial liquid laundry detergent pod packets which were made between September 2023 and February 2024.

They were sold in flexible film bags at U.S. retailers like Big Lots, Family Dollar, Target, Walmart and Amazon.

The agency says no injuries have been reported due to this defect.

The CPSC warns eating a large quantity of detergent can result in death, especially among children with underlying health issues.
