MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. — A double-wide manufactured home in Medical Lake burst into flames Monday evening, prompting a significant response from firefighters to mitigate the spread of flames to nearby trees.
Crews at the scene confirmed no one was injured in the fire, which was first reported by a passerby at about 5 p.m.
As of 6:25 p.m., a firefighter with Spokane County Fire District 10 said crews successfully put it out, but not after extensive damage to the home.
The homeowner told firefighters a dog was home but should have been outside. Crews searched for the dog, but as of 6:30 p.m. they hadn’t yet found it.
