SPOKANE, Wash. – Antwon Jones, an employee at the Martin Hall Juvenile Corrections Facility, was arrested for child rape and sexual misconduct on Feb. 29 after allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old girl detained at the facility.
Jones, who was terminated from his position on Feb. 7, was arrested by Spokane County Sexual Assault Unit detectives after investigators obtained warrants to obtain DNA samples from Jones and the victim.
The investigation followed a complaint submitted by a fellow Martin Hall employee on Feb. 13 accusing Jones of assaulting a detained child on Jan. 26 during an off-site visit in Medical Lake.
Detectives are still searching for an unidentified man, described as older and driving a gray truck, who may have seen the incident at the Medical Lake Trail Head. Anyone with information can call Detective V. Van Patten at (509) 477-6909.
