SPOKANE, Wash. – The Maple Street Bridge will open one lane in each direction for the weekend.

From Oct. 6 to the evening of Oct. 8, drivers will be able to cross the bridge in both directions via a single lane each. On Sunday evening, all southbound lanes will close again while crew resume work.

The Maple Street Bridge has been undergoing bridge deck and joint repair since the end of August and is expected to wrap up in mid-November. Drivers should be aware of frequent route changes throughout the project, with the possibility of the bridge closing fully intermittently until repairs are finished.

Drivers are encouraged to the use alternate routes and avoid the bridge during peak traffic times when possible.
