CHENEY, Wash. – An Arkansas man who fled law enforcement for over three years was arrested by US Marshals in Cheney on Thursday.

Walter Roy Sexton was wanted for a sexual assault warrant in Arkansas when he was apprehended. He allegedly molested multiple individuals in the city of Conway before fleeing law enforcement.

The Marshals Pacific Northwest Violent Offenders Task Force led federal, state, local and tribal authorities in searching for Sexton, who is a previously convicted felon.

It appears that Sexton may have traveled through Idaho before being arrested in Cheney. Idaho Fish and Game officials worked with federal law enforcement in the efforts which ultimately led to his arrest.
