SPOKANE, Wash. – Love proved to stand the test of time when a man found a love letter written in 1953 inside an old toolbox.
The letter coming from Irving Fleming a Corporal in the military at the time expressing his love saying, “Mary will you please marry me when I get home.”
The man who found the letter says he bought the toolbox at a farm auction not expecting to find “a true love story” as he says.
He is hoping to connect the letter back to family that could still be around but hasn’t had any luck so far.
