Man dead after being shot near encampment in Spokane has been identified

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Medical Examiner has identified the man who was shot near an encampment in Spokane and has released the cause and manner of death.

On Sept. 6 around 3:00 a.m., officers arrived to a shooting in the 6100 block of North Colton Street in Northeast Spokane.

At the scene they found two people who were shot and one died from their injuries at the hospital.

32-year-old Devin Rowden dies from a penetrating gunshot wound to the torso. His manner of death was released as a homicide.

The 19-year-old suspect who has been accused of this shooting has been charged with murder and assault and is held on $1,000,000 bond.

The investigation for this shooting is ongoing. More information will be released as we learn more.
