SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Spokane Valley deputies arrested a man holding a realistic looking BB gun who threatened to shoot a person at a apartment complex.

On Sept. 22 around 10 p.m., deputies received several calls for a intoxicated resident at an apartment complex who was allegedly walking around holding a weapon.

The victim reported that a 20-year-old man walked past his apartment and threatened to shoot him and called him a “snitch.”

Deputies arrived at 22 North Skipworth and were able to successfully detain the suspect on the second floor.

The suspect told deputies that he did nothing wrong and did not have a gun. He mentioned that he was inside his apartment playing “GTA.”

Other residents at the apartment complex mentioned that they have seen the suspect on other occasions carrying a gun.

He denied having a firearm and let deputies search his apartment. As they went inside they found a BB gun that appeared to look like an AR-15 type pistol. There was nothing else found.

With the suspect creating fear around the apartment complex, deputies arrested the suspect.

The 20-year-old man was transported and booked into Spokane County Jail for felony harassment. His bond is currently set at $5,000.
