COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Skyway Elementary in Coeur d’Alene was placed on lockdown when a woman jumped a fence onto school property Monday afternoon.
According to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, 38-year-old Stephanie A. Sokolowski of Coeur d’Alene. had previously been trespassed from the school due to custody issues with her children.
School staff recognized Sokolowski as she jumped the fence onto the property around 3:15 p.m. The school was immediately placed on lockdown.
The Coeur d’Alene Police Department says Sokolowski drove away from the area before officers could arrive.
Law enforcement was able to stop Sokolowski near the intersection of North Ramsey Road and West Dalton Avenue.
She was arrested for trespassing and eluding.
The lockdown at Skyway Elementary lasted about five minutes.
