Local dancers take the stage for ‘The Nutcracker’ at The Fox this holiday season!

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Nutcracker is back in Spokane, but this time with a local twist. This performance is a holiday tradition for many people and shows start today!

Starting Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. you can watch local dancers work with professionals to recreate Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky’s famous play. Shows are happening at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox Nov. 30 – Dec. 3.

Many dancers are from local high schools in our region including, Mt. Spokane, Riverside, University and more. All of these students have been able to successfully balance life as a dancer and as a student.

Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m.Dec. 1 at 7: 30 p.m.Dec. 2 at 3 p.m.Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m.Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Doors for each of these shows will open one hour before the curtains are raised.

Tickets are limited and some shows are getting close to selling out. Prices start at $29, but go up based on seats and which show you attend.

This is the 13th year that State Street Ballet is performing the Nutcracker in Spokane. They are a professional ballet studio based out of Santa Barbara, California.
