Lincoln County Fire District 4 receives new Edwall Fire Engine 461

LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. — Lincoln County Fire District 4 has received the new Edwall Fire Engine 461 from the Federal Firefighter Property program.

Engine 461 is a 1995 Pierce Arrow that was originally built for the United State Marine Corp. and was stationed at Barstow Marine Base.

After its time on base it was refurbished and modernized in 2014!

Now, from the Federal Firefighter Property (FFP) program and Washington State DNR, it will now be stationed at Lincoln County Fire District 4.

The FFP utilizes surplus military machinery and repurposes them to be used for wildland firefighting.

As District 4 communicated with DNR, they were able to receive Engine 461 from FFP. They are pleased to, “be able to improve the equipment available to protect the Edwall and surrounding communities.”

Engine 461 details include: 1995 Pierce Arrow, Type 1 Structure Engine, 1250 GPM pump, 725 gallon tank, 1000 GPM remote monitor and hold up to six crew members.
