LINC Foods helps multiple eastern Washington food banks distribute local produce to families

SPOKANE, Wash. — As we enter into the holiday season, We Feed WA (WFW) will be using LINC Foods to make weekly food box deliveries to over 3,000 households.

LINC Foods is continuing to supply fresh, locally grown produce to emergency food organizations across nine eastern Washington counties. In the boxes provided by We Feed WA, there will be a selection of fresh fruits and vegetables not commonly available at food banks.

WFW expresses that LINC Foods’ participation is focused on supplying emergency food to rural eastern Washington communities for distribution.

“Without this program, fresh produce — especially during the holiday season when our client numbers increase — would be very hard to come by, and not of the stellar quality that we receive from LINC,” said Paige Collins, Executive Director of the Council on Aging & Human Services, which supplies 13 rural food pantries in Whitman county.

Along with their work in Spokane County, LINC Foods also works hand in hand with:

The LINC Box program offers a variety of locally grown and produced items like fruits, vegetables, meats, cheese, eggs, bread and other household staples. This program currently serves the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene area, including 15 neighborhood pickup sites and farm-to-doorstep delivery.

If you are interested in signing up for LINC Box, they will be including a special Thanksgiving Box for members of the general public. To sign up, head over to the LINC Foods website.
