Kootenai County deputies arrest 18-year-old shooting suspect

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office arrested an 18-year-old after he allegedly fired multiple shots, resulting in one person being injured.

In the late evening of April 5, Kootenai County deputies responded to reports of gunshots fired in the area of Upriver Drive and Highway 95 near Coeur d’Alene.

Deputies investigated the scene and were able to confirm several shots were fired at the location.

A male victim was later located several miles away with a non-life-threatening injury sustained from one of the shots being fired.

The caller reported a male exited his vehicle and fired multiple shots toward them.

Deputies identified the suspect, Devin C. Spring, an 18-year-old male from Coeur d’Alene. Spring was booked into the Kootenai County Jail for two counts of aggravated assault.
