Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office search for man wanted for string of thefts around Cle Elum

KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. — Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for James Kelly who is connected to a string of burglaries and thefts around Cle Elum, South Cle Elum and Easton.

31-year-old James Kelly is wanted for recent burglaries and thefts in and around Cle Elum, South Cle Elum and Easton. Kelly is from Skagit County where he is also wanted on multiple warrants.

Kelly recently stayed at a home in the Elk Meadows II community off of Hudley Road near Easton. As deputies obtained a search warrant of the home they found stolen property, guns, drugs and other evidence.

A man living in the home and a woman from Cle Elum were associated with Kelly and were arrested in connection to the recent crimes.

Kelly may be driving a blue 2007 GMC Yukon with a temporary tag #A6883584 or a blue-over-silver 1993 Chrysler Concorde sedan with license plate #BUJ4366.

At this time, Kelly knows that he is wanted by law enforcement due to his extensive criminal history including felony eluding as law enforcement has attempted to arrest him.

He was reported to be in Skagit County on Dec. 21 but believed to be returning to Kittitas County.
