POST FALLS, Idaho — A Kootenai County K9 assisted the Post Falls Police Department to capture a fugitive with a felony warrant.
On Oct. 1 around 3 p.m., K9 Luuki was able to help Post Falls police locate and detain a man with a felony warrant for assault out of Spokane.
Luuki went inside the suspects home on Elias Court. The man barricaded himself into his room and fled through a crawl space.
As he was crawling out, Luuki was able to enter the space. They got into a physical altercation and both, the suspect and Luuki, had minor injuries.
The man was taken into custody and booked on his current warrant along with other charges related to this incident.
