Judge to stream Idaho murder suspect’s hearings, media banned from recording video

MOSCOW, Idaho — All future court proceedings for Kohberger, the quadruple murder suspect, will be live streamed using court equipment as media cameras will not be allowed inside the courtroom.

The new order was issued on Friday, following Bryan Kohberger’s defense teams motion to eliminate cameras in the courtroom. The motion claimed that the press failed to obey the court’s directive to not exclusively photograph and record the defendant, as per court documents.

For all future court proceedings, members of the media and public will not be allowed to record their own video, audio or take pictures. There will be a court-provided livestream available through Judge John Judge’s YouTube channel.

“This will help to alleviate the concerns raised by both the defense and the State, but at the same time will ensure the public still has access to see the proceedings for themselves if they cannot attend hearings in-person,” the order states.
