GRANT COUNTY – The Central Basin Investigative Team (CBIT) continues to investigate an officer-involved shooting in Quincy that resulted in a man’s death. It happened January 8th when Quincy Police said 21-year-old Jose Rico-Flores stabbed an officer in the arm and shoulder at Jackpot Food Mart. CBIT said officers Michael Kvavle and Kyle Talley then shot and killed the man. The team adds an autopsy was later conducted. Friday CBIT shared an update on it’s finding so far in the investigation. Detectives are still waiting for autopsy results from last week.Also, security footage from Jackpot Food Mart is now being analyzed and has been submitted as evidence. Detectives asks anyone that witnessed what happened to contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
