Idaho man arrested for illegally possessing firearms and drugs

WHITE BIRD, Idaho – An Idaho County deputy stopped a driver for a traffic violation and found that he was carrying firearms and multiple types of drugs in his vehicle.

The deputy stopped the driver on Feb. 16 at around 4:21 p.m. and when speaking to the driver later identified as Jacob Larson, a 39-year-old from White Bird. The deputy saw a jar of marijuana, bullets and a rifle in plain view.

It was also confirmed that Larson was ineligible to possess firearms and he was subsequently arrested afterward by law enforcement.

After more searching, deputies also found two additional rifles, a handgun and paraphernalia in Larson’s vehicle.

Deputies also searched Larsen’s person and found methamphetamine, a scale and more marijuana.

Larsen was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, felony unlawful possession of a firearm, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
