CHENEY, Wash. – Drivers who use I-90 between Cheney and Sprague will need to plan for delays over the next two weeks.

As part of the Illumination Rebuild project, crews with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will install poles for new overhead lights at each interchange between Cheney and Sprague, around mileposts 244.86 to 264.50.

Crews will start the project in the westbound lanes and, once finished, work eastbound. The work for this project will happen from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. over the next two weeks. Right lane closures at each interchange are expected to last a few hours; all ramps will remain open.

The following areas can expect to see temporary closures and should plan for delays:

SR 902/Salnave RoadSR 904/TylerFishtrapSR 23/Sprague

According to WSDOT, anticipated completion is expected by Thursday, Oct. 19.
