Help bring Christmas cheer to families this season through The Salvation Army’s charities

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Salvation Army’s “Adopt-A-Family’ and “Angel Tree” registration to help vulnerable families and children this Christmas is now open for registration.

According to the organization, The charities in Spokane will help families directly affected by the Gray and Oregon fires, families in Salvation Army Shelters and children in emergency foster care placement centers.

Adopt-A-Family: Businesses, service clubs, organizations, churches, families, and anyone else wanting to bring joy to a family’s Christmas. After signing up, a family to your preferred size preference will be assigned to you, and you can start shopping from the list provided to you.The drop-off day is Monday, Dec. 18, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.Angel Tree: Everyone available is asked to hang pre-labeled gift tags in a common space or on a Christmas tree. These gift tags can be selected by anyone to purchase the item listed. These items will be handed out to children and families The Salvation Army aids. Drop-off day is Monday, Dec. 18, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Salvation Army said they also have the ultimate “Wish List” on Amazon. Items selected and purchased will be sent directly to The Salvation Army Spokane and distributed to foster children at Sallys & Evangeline’s House.
