Glacier National Park, Mont. – Are you planning a visit to Glacier National Park in the 2024 summer season? If so, it is vital to properly reserve your spot ahead of time.
According to the National Park Service’s website here, this is what you need to know about vehicle reservations:
May 24 through September 8: Vehicle reservations are required for the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and North Fork from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.July 1 through September 8: Vehicle reservations are required for Many Glacier from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.During the above dates, visitors who enter the park in a vehicle or on a motorcycle need both of the following: A vehicle reservation OR a service reservation A paid park entrance fee OR a valid Park Pass (Annual, Senior, Military, etc.)Technically, the park is open 24/7. Visitors can enter these areas without a vehicle reservation before 6:00 AM or after 3:00 PM.

Have you already booked lodging/camping/an activity?
Luckily, visitors who have already reserved lodging, camping, or a commercial activity like a boat tour or a horseback ride within the specified reservation areas can use proof of their reservation instead of a vehicle reservation and be allowed access to the area in which their previous reservation takes place.
When are vehicle reservations available?
Some vehicle reservations will be available approximately four months in advance, starting this year on January 25, at 8:00 AM MST. They will be available on a daily rolling basis.The “Next Day” vehicle reservations will be available at 7:00 PM MST for people who want next-day entry. This will begin May 23 on a daily rolling basis.
