SPOKANE, Wash. — People should expect to pay more at the gas pumps in Washington State.

Officials say gas prices could increase to 70 to 80 cents per gallon. According to the AAA, the average cost of gas in Washington is $4.12. In Eastern Washington, gas prices range between $3.50 to $4.28 a gallon.

Across the state line, North Idaho is seeing prices of $3.24 to $3.42 per gallon.

Drivers are becoming more concerned with how gas prices are affecting their wallets. Some people hope to find a more fuel-efficient vehicle to cut costs.
