Florida man sentenced to 5 years in prison for video voyeurism against 3 juvenile women in Idaho

KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — A Florida man was convicted of video voyeurism against three different juvenile women and was sentenced to five years in prison.

On Aug. 14, 2023, an employee at a Target saw 33-year-old Robert Anthony Andrews take a photo up a woman’s skirt with his cell phone without her knowledge while she was shopping.

At the time, the man was not able to be identified or apprehended. The Coeur d’Alene Police Department began investigating this case and identified the man as Andrews.

While reviewing surveillance footage, Andrews was seen taking a photo up a woman’s skirt a second time. The investigation revealed that the woman was 16-years-old.

On Aug. 18, Andrews was located during a traffic stop and was arrested on a warrant issued by the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.

Officers seized Andrews cell phone and obtained an additional search warrant to search its contents. On his phone, officers found that Andrews had taken similar pictures of two 17-year-old girls at a Super One grocery store in Athol.

Video Voyeurism is a felony and is punishable by up to five years in prison.

The Deputy Prosecuting Attorney recommended a five year prison sentence with parole eligibility after 3 years.

On Jan. 9, the District Judge sentenced Robert Andrews to a five year prison sentence with parole eligibility after one and a half years.
