Ephrata man suffers life-threatening burn injuries after gazebo caught fire

EPHRATA, Wash. — A Ephrata man suffered life-threatening burn injuries Sunday morning after a gazebo caught fire.

On Dec. 31 around 1:30 a.m., firefighters received a call that a gazebo caught fire in the 17000 block of Road B-Northwest.

As deputies arrived on scene, the 50-year-old Ephrata man was conscious, alert and suffering from severe burns.

The man was flown to an out-of-area hospital for treatment.

At this time, investigators believe that the fire may have been fed by gasoline.

Law enforcement and investigators have no other information at this time.
