PULLMAN, Wash. — Drivers who use State Route 194 west of Pullman will need to plan for extra travel time starting Monday.
According to the Washington Department of Transportation, contractor crews will be working on emergency repairs to State Route 194 following a washout that happened on March 14.
Starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, SR 194 will be closed between Hamilton Hill Road and Wawawai-Pullman Road.
Crews will be working to replace a failed culvert about five miles west of Pullman. Once the culvert has been replaced, WSDOT says crews will then work to stabilize and repair the road that was washed out.
WSDOT says the work is expected to last until May 15.
A signed detour will be in place using Hamilton Hill Road and US 195 until the repairs are done.
