Electric cars struggle to adapt to cold weather

SPOKANE, Wash. – Considering the price tag of an electric vehicle, you would assume that it would be ready to withstand any weather. Unfortunately, that might not be the case.

The electric vehicle industry is struggling to adapt to cold and harsh weather conditions as car batteries aren’t working at full capacity.

Many electric vehicles owners are saying that the batteries on their cars are not working at full capacity or even have troubles charging.

Norwegian Automobile Federation found that electric vehicles lose about 20% of their driving and battery capability in cold weather.

Preparing for cold weather is a good practice while driving any vehicle, and it’s crucial to allow extra time to charge and inspect electric vehicles, especially now.
