Dozer Day returns to Post Falls this weekend for families

POST FALLS, Idaho — Families looking for a unique weekend activity can head to Post Falls for the annual Dozer Day, where children get hands-on experience with some of the real construction equipment.

The event kicks off Saturday at Cabela’s Stateline, giving kids the opportunity to explore both stationary and moving equipment under the guidance and supervision of professionals. Organizers say the interactive experience is designed for children ages 2 to 12.

Beyond providing entertainment for families, Dozer Day serves a charitable purpose in the Inland Northwest community.

“The giveback is our favorite part. About half of our proceeds go back into local communities through donations to our main charities,” said Sheri Nolan, executive director of Dozer Day.

The benefiting organizations include Canopy Village and the Kootenai Technical Education Campus (KTEC), both serving the local community.

Dozer Day runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets cost $12 when purchased online or $15 at the door. Kids under 2 can get in for free. Attendees can also take advantage of free parking at Cabela’s.
